Charges Filed in Cedar Rapids Murder Case
The Cedar Rapids Police Department has filed First Degree Murder charges in the stabbing death of 37-year old Shanna Lee Beyhl. Bobbie Harold Little, DOB November 6, 1981, age 32, has been charged in the crime.
Beyhl was found deceased inside her apartment at 228 Jacolyn Drive SW, Apartment #13 the afternoon of Friday, April 4th. An autopsy was performed by the State Medical Examiner the following day, and the death was ruled a homicide. Beyhl had died of multiple stab wounds.
Tuesday, April 8th, Little was charged with Theft-2nd Degree after he was found in possession of Beyhl's cell phone, two televisions, a DVD player and video gaming system, all valued at more than $1,000, and he transferred the stolen property to others. Little has been held in the Linn County Jail since the theft arrest.
Investigators found Little's fingerprints at the crime scene. Investigators also recovered clothing and shoes belong to Little that, through examination by the state crime laboratory, contained the victim's DNA.
