Can you smell the bacon? The Thomas Dostal Developers BaconFest is this Saturday (September 26) at NewBo City Market and we cannot wait to sample of all of the delicious bacon dishes that will be there.

When and where is BaconFest?
Saturday, September 26 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at NewBo City Market. BaconFest will be outside in front of the market, rain location is inside the market.
How much are tickets and where can I purchase them?
Tickets are $20 (plus applicable taxes and fees) and are available online through eventbrite.com. You will be able to purchase tickets at the door on the day of the event for $25. All tickets include $15 in Bacon Bucks and a goody bag provided by the Cedar Rapids Area Association of Realtors. Kids 10 and under are free to enter the event. They will not receive any Bacon Bucks with this free entry.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket?
You can bring your printed ticket, but we can also scan it off your mobile device.
What are Bacon Bucks?
Bacon Bucks are how you get to sample all of the delicious bacon dishes that will be available. Samples will be available from the vendors for $2, $3, or $5 Bacon Bucks, depending on the sample. Every ticket purchased for BaconFest includes $15 in Bacon Bucks and you can purchase more at the event to sample even more dishes.
What is the deal with the $5 off coupon?
Save $5 on your ticket by picking up a coupon at any area Hawkeye Convenience Store.
Is there an age limit for BaconFest?
No, the event is open to all ages.
Where can I park?
Street parking is available in the area.
What time is 8 Seconds performing?
They will be performing throughout the entire event from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Will alcohol be available?
Yes, Fleck Sales will have a variety of alcoholic beverages available for purchase for those adults 21+ with valid photo ID.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Here's what's allowed:
Blankets and/or bagged lawn chairs
Regular point-and-shoot camera (No professional-grade cameras will be allowed)
Here's what's not allowed:
Outside food and beverage of any kind
Coolers and picnic baskets
Firearms of any kind
Pets (Certified service animals are welcome)
Folding lawn chairs
Illegal substances of any kind
In-line or roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bicycles
Mace/pepper spray or any type of chemical spray
Will NewBo City Makret still be open?
Yes! You will be able to walk around, shop, and eat in the market.
Do I need to bring money?
If you want to purchase additional Bacon Bucks or any beverages then you should bring money with you.
What do I need to have to get in?
You need to bring your printed ticket (or be able to show us your tickets on your phone) and a photo ID if you intend to drink alcoholic beverages.
Is this event handicapped accessible?
Yes, it is!
