Need Something to do This Weekend? See What’s Going on in Cedar Rapids
There is plenty going on in Cedar Rapids this weekend, and with the spring-like weather finally here, it's time for this newcomer to get out and explore what the city has to offer!
The Go The Distance for Crime Victims 5K Run/Walk is happening Saturday, April 16 at Thomas Park in Marion.
It's their 10th annual run/walk and proceeds benefit victims of crime in Eastern Iowa. You still have time to join. Find out more and sign up at www.Gothedistance5k.com.
Event registration begins at 7 a.m. and the race starts at 9 a.m.
The CBS 2 Your Health Expo this Sunday, April 17 from 11a.m. - 4 p.m., at the Double Tree downtown. There will be over 60 vendors, a kids zone giving your young ones something to do, and free health screenings to help you keep fit!
Stop by the 104.5 KDAT booth for some fun and games, plus prizes and giveaways, and a sneak-peek at the new INSANE INFLATABLE 5K course coming June 11 to Hawkeye Downs.
If you're up for a road trip, 104.5 KDAT is sending Jenny Lee and Deb Mreen with three friends each to Quad Cities this Saturday for a Girls Night Out, to see Earth Wind & Fire with Chicago in concert at the iWireless Center. There are still some tickets available at the box office if you want to dance away the night in Moline.
However you choose to spend your weekend, I hope you enjoy the spring weather and find a little downtime to recharge your batteries!
