One Person Dead After Officer-Involved Shooting In North English
The Iowa County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that one person is dead following an officer-involved shooting in North English over the weekend. Sheriff's officials say that the incident began when a woman complained that her husband was outside with a gun. The incident happened at a home at 108 South Walnut in North English.
After police arrived, witnesses say they heard a single gunshot while others heard more than one. Authorities have identified the man shot and killed as 53-year-old Robin Blaylock. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has taken over the investigation. An autopsy on Blaylock is scheduled for Tuesday.
