Searching for Iowa’s Best Pork Tenderloin
Now is the time to nominate your favorite cafe, restaurant, or tavern for "Iowa's Best Breaded Tenderloin."
The Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) is looking for your input. The contest started on April 20th and goes until June 8.
Kelsey Sutter, IPPA marketing and program director says, “We know there are a lot of really great tenderloin sandwiches out there and we want to know about them. We want all tenderloin enthusiasts to get involved and rally around their favorite; make our job picking 2016’s best really difficult!”
To qualify, the establishment must be open year-round to win, but seasonal restaurants can make the top five.
Last year, the contest resulted in more than 1,150 nominations and almost 40 tenderloins were judged. The winner was the Belmond Drive-in.
The 2016 winner will be announced in October, which is Pork Month.
