The Western Iowa town of Lake City [pop. 1700] got a scare yesterday.

Tim Klatt of Lake City kept his composure long enough to get some footage of a tornado that tore through his town. The Lake City High School roof is torn off and debris stays suspended in the air through the vortex. 150 people were inside. Amazingly, no injuries reported.

The Weather Channel ran with the story with this report by Sam Champion. Good stuff here with storm chaser from neighboring Nebraska. Austin Knudson has some great shots of the approaching twister.
Governor Branstad will tour the damage in Lake City and surrounding area.
