‘Trucks and Treats’ Means A Great Deal For You While Helping Others
The Monster trucks of Monster Jam roar into Cedar Rapids for three shows Saturday and Sunday. The fun starts Friday, though, with the 'Trucks and Treats' event at the U.S. Cellular Center.
Late Friday afternoon and early evening, you can donate five non-perishable food items for HACAP and you'll get a voucher for a free ticket for Saturday night. You can receive up to four vouchers per family (must donate at least 20 items to receive four). *Vouchers good for $15 and $20 tickets.
You'll also meet Oskaloosa native Tyler Menninga who drives 'Grave Digger.' (He'll be on Brain and Courtlin's show Friday morning after 7, to talk about what it's like to drive one of these monsters.)
Another popular Monster Truck driver will be there too. 'Max D' driver, Jared Eichelberger.
The event is Friday night from 5 to 7 at the U.S. Cellular Center. Be sure to bring the kids in their Halloween costumes to get their pictures taken with the drivers and everyone who donates food can sign up to win Gold Circle Seats and pit passes for Saturday night. You can get more on the 'Trucks and Treats' event and how the donations will help area kids HERE.
