Iowa Parade and Concert For American Idol Contestant Maddie Poppe
Maddie Poppe could be headed back home to Iowa! Don't worry, it's for a good reason. The Iowa native is currently in the Top 5 on American Idol, but if she makes it into the Top 3, she's going to have one heck of a homecoming.
If (or more like WHEN) Maddie makes it into the Final 3 on American Idol, she will be welcomed back to her hometown of Clarksville, Iowa with a parade and concert! The festivities would be held on Tuesday, May 15 at 5 p.m. in downtown Clarksville. After the homecoming parade, Maddie will perform a FREE concert at the grandstand of the Butler County Fairgrounds in Allison at 6:30 p.m.
The reason this is all a big "IF" right now is because American Idol is looking to film the Top 3 finalist's homecomings for the show. If Maddie isn't in the Top 3, there will be no filming, therefore no homecoming parade. But, let's stomp out those thoughts because Maddie is too good not to make it into the finals. The results will be revealed this Sunday night, so make sure you vote for Maddie!
Since the American Idol tour won't have any Iowa stops, this homecoming parade will be our only chance to see her in our home state for a while. Stay up to date with Maddie's homecoming festivities HERE. And again don't forget to vote!
