Its been another rough year for farmers. A trade war with China. A pandemic that simply won't end. And for farmers in the Midwest and August derecho that destroyed millions of acres of crops. Insurance will cover some of the losses, but farmers still need help. Fortunately they're going to be getting some from a familiar name.

KCRG reports that Deere and Company will be hosting a virtual concert featuring numerous country music stars in an effort to raise money in the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The concert will be called The Farm Must Go On by John Deere and will be streamed live on Youtube from the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville on December 9th at 8 p.m. Performers at the concert will include Dustin Lynch, Maddie and Tae, Mickey Guyton, Travis Denning, and Tyler Farr.

KCRG reports that the event is being organized in conjunction with Farm Rescue, a non-profit group that works with farmers in states like Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana. The group works with farmers and ranchers who have experienced hardships including injury and natural disaster. The group provides equipment and assistance to plant or harvest crops and also provides assistance in feeding livestock. All proceeds from the event will go to Farm Rescue.

The event will be free to stream and watch. Donations are encouraged. For more information on the show and how to help farmers in need go to JohnDeer.com/TheFarmMustGoOn.
