[ORIGINAL STORY 4/1 4:30 a.m. ] KCRG TV reports that a major Linn County retailer has had an employee test positive for COVID-19. Nordstrom Inc. announced that an employee at their direct fulfillment center in Cedar Rapids had tested positive for the virus.

The facility was temporarily closed so that crews could go through and do a deep cleaning of the center. It is expected to re-open by 2 p.m. this afternoon. Nordstrom says that the employee who tested positive had not been at the center since March 26th. Officials are in the process of contacting people that may have come into contact with that person.

Company officials also told employees via email that another employee had reported close contact with a separate non-worker who had also tested positive for COVID-19. That worker had not been in the center since March 28th and is currently in self-isolation.

The employee who tested positive for COVID-19 is receiving medical treatment.
