Other Restaurants are Trolling IHOP Over Their Name Change
Sometimes I really love Twitter.
In case you missed the big news yesterday, IHOP aka International House of Pancakes announced that they would be changing their name to IHOb or International House of... Burgers?
Now, don't panic! The name change isn't permanent and the restaurant is still serving pancakes. IHOP is apparently launching a new line of burgers and they want to show people that they are taking them VERY seriously. It doesn't get much more serious than changing your name! Here's the thing, though: I didn't even know IHOP served burgers in the first place. When I want breakfast, I go to IHOP. When I want burgers, I go to a burger place. I can't ever see myself going to IHOP for a burger, even after all of this hoopla. I do have to give IHOP some credit, though, because they wanted people to talk and they are definitely talking!
My favorite thing to come out of all of this are the tweets. A bunch of other popular restaurant chains are now trolling IHOP, with Burger King even going as far as changing their social media logo to "Pancake King." Check that out HERE.
Here are some of my other favorite Tweets from restaurants:
Do you think all this hype will get you to try a burger from IHOP? Share your thoughts in the comments!
