UPDATE 2: TMZ confirmed Post Malone was on the flight by Facetiming with the 23-year-old rapper.

"I hate flying in general. I don't know what to say, man. I'm shook," he told the outlet. "There's one hell of a team on that aircraft, and we're here. We're here on Earth and I need a beer and I need some wine at the same time, mixed together."

Malone also tweeted about the experience, writing, "i landed guys. thank you for your prayers. can't believe how many people wished death on me on this website. f--k you. but not today."

UPDATE: The plane has made a safe emergency landing in New York, according to the Associated Press.

EARLIER: Post Malone is currently onboard an airplane set to perform an emergency crash landing.

According to TMZ, the "Rockstar" rapper and his entourage boarded his private plane, a Gulfstream IV, from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey this morning while en route to London. Local law enforcement officials confirmed that the plane's tires blew during takeoff, forcing the pilot to circle back around to the airport.

There are sixteen people onboard the aircraft, including Malone. In air traffic audio obtained by the tabloid, the pilot can be heard addressing the loss of a tire, as well as asking for permission to circle the air.

Sources told TMZ that air traffic control ordered the pilot to "continue flight to Massachusetts in order to burn more fuel for a safer possible crash landing."

On Monday night (August 20), Malone performed at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards alongside 21 Savage and Aerosmith, closing the show. He also took home the VMA for Song of the Year.
