Projected Cedar River Crest Level For Cedar Rapids has Been Lowered To 16.8 Ft For July 3rd. [BREAKING]
The crest level for the Cedar River has been reduced to 16.8 ft for Thursday. That is down from the original 17.4 ft projected crest, which creates significantly less flooding risk than previous estimates. Because of this, the city has shut down the sandbagging station at NewBo. City staff would like to thank all of the volunteers who came out to support the community by make sandbags.
