As if we don't have enough problems to worry about these days, now this happens here in Cedar Rapids.

According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, "The Cedar Rapids Police Department is investigating a shooting they believed occurred on North Towne Court NE early Saturday."

Officers arrived at St. Luke's around 3:45 in the morning. They were sent to the hospital to investigate a gunshot wound. The person shot was a 31-year-old male. Thankfully, his injuries were non-life threatening.

The name of the victim has not been released at this time. There have been no arrests and this situation is still under investigation.

The officers traced the incident to the NE side of Cedar Rapids. That's where they found shell casings on the road. At this point there are no suspects.
