Let's face it: Being a woman in today's society is pretty tough. Everywhere we look there are size double-zero models with airbrushed legs and perfect skin who appear to be flawless. Sometimes it's hard not to compare ourselves to that perfection. Well, supermodel Chrissy Teigen wants us to know that even supermodels aren't flawless, despite what we may think.

Chrissy, 29, is a well-known model, posing for hundreds of ads and covers all over the world (you might remember her from the 50th anniversary Sports Illustrated cover). She's also a co-host on the new show Lip Sync Battle, and is married to musician John Legend. Chrissy is known as being very open and honest, and sometimes a bit outspoken, and that's why I absolutely love her.

She recently posted a photo on her Instagram of herself sitting cross-legged, inner thigh visible, with the caption, "Bruises from bumping kitchen drawer handles for a week. Stretchies say hi!"

That's right, the stunning supermodel Chrissy Teigen has *GASP* stretchmarks! Just like many of us! And she isn't afraid to admit it! When I realized I had them a few years ago I thought it was the end of the world, until I realized it REALLY wasn't. They are so common and definitely not something that anyone should be ashamed of, man or woman. That's why I think what Chrissy did is so incredible. We just assume that these famous women hit the genetic lottery and they don't have a single flaw, when that's just not the case. I absolutely adore that Chrissy isn't afraid to show off the parts of her that aren't considered "perfect" or "glamorous." We need more women in Hollywood like her.

So, this is your reminder today to love yourself because you're perfectly imperfect and beautiful. That may be super cheesy and lame, but I know just as well as anyone that, once and a while, that's just what we need to hear.
